I’ve pretty much dedicated my entire career to integrated communications, spanning public relations, social media and corporate communications. Over the years, I’ve developed and driven communications programs and supported the sales efforts of market-leading high tech companies such as Cable & Wireless, Exodus Communications and GlobalCenter, a Global Crossing company.

Most recently, I’d have to say my focus has been on providing personalized services to SMBs, start-ups and professional services firms, and exploring cleantech, green tech and the world of sustainability.

My name is Jourdan Cohen and I am currently interning at Meredith Corporation. I wanted to take a minute to talk to you about an exciting new program we are launching. I’m not sure if you are aware, but Ladies’ Home Journal launched its Do Good initiative earlier this year, celebrating women and companies who are committed to helping their community. The Do Good initiative features monthly in-book and online editorial coverage with the goal of helping to inspire and empower women through the stories of others.
Also, the Do Good initiative awards corporations committed to civic engagement with the Do Good Stamp. An advisory board will award this stamp quarterly to corporations dedicated to philanthropic ventures. The stamp is valid for two years and can be used by companies in their brand packaging and marketing and promotional materials to raise awareness of their philanthropic efforts. The deadline for this quarter’s applications is fast-approaching; all submissions must be received by June 15.
